| Update any RoboSel version 5 or 6, following the instructions below. If you don't have RoboSel installed yet start with Step 1 otherwise proceed with Step 2. | | | | | If Windows "Compressed Folders" is your default program for zipped files, just click the links below and select [Open]. Otherwise save the zip file first, click on it and use [Open with Compressed Folders]. You must see a single directory only. If you planned to update more PC's, we suggest to save the unzipped files on your memory stick or otherwise save them in C:\Robot\RoboSelUpdate\. | | | | | You must install all updates in the listed sequence below.
If you want to see what updates you installed, check the files in directory \RoboSel\Pages\ as listed in the table below for each update.

| Step 1: New installations.
Download and open the file "RoboSel new installation 2008-02.zip". Drag the folder "RoboSel installation files" to the root directory of your memory stick or to C:\Robot\. Open directory C:\Robot\RoboSel installation files\ and double click Setup.exe. Follow the on screen instructions. We recommend to install RoboSel in C:\Robot\RoboSel\. C:\ might be any drive on your PC or if you want use C:\Program Files\. Proceed with step 2. | | | | | Step 2: Start up icon (Only required if your current version is 5).
Delete any existing start up icon on your desktop. Select [Start] [All programs]. Right click on RoboSel (5 or 6) and select [Properties]. In target change 5 to 6. It should read C:\Robot\RoboSel\RoboSel6.exe. Remember the bold section for your installation. Select [Start] [All programs] and right click again on RoboSel. Select [send to desktop] to create a fresh start up icon. | | | | | Step 3: Install documentation and actually update RoboSel.
Open the required language files below, one by one. Drag and drop the directory "RoboSel" to the bold directory found in Step 2 and confirm overwriting all existing files and directories. Repeat this step for any language that you want to install. Please note that American is also for all 60Hz documentation. | | | | | Step 4: Activating the languages. (This need to be done only once).
Start RoboSel and in the main menu select [Datasheets] [Browse]. Some languages may be black, some grey. Just ignore this as that is likely for the previous data sheets. Select language by language and follow [Harddisc] [Browse] and browse to the directory C:\Robot\RoboSel\Documentation\"language". The directory as shown at the bottom of the screen will turn green. Confirm by clicking [OK]. You might find also language directories under C:\Robot\RoboSel\"Language", but these are old files. You can delete these or keep for future reference.

| You are now ready to set RoboSel's default settings. In the main menu select [Settings]. May we suggest to set the flow tolerance to at least 1 or 2%. This will select cheaper pumps. The button [Project], allows you to specify where RoboSel will store it's calculations. We made a projects directory in the RoboSel directory. Don't forget to confirm your selection by clicking the [OK] button. |
