The TurboTex pumps are designed to combine highest efficiencies with good solids handling. These pumps are an improved version of the screw or spiral vane impeller pumps.
Where traditional channel impeller pumps are sensitive for chocking, by fibrous materials that hook up on the blade leading edges at the impeller inlet, the TurboTex pumps are fitted with a self cleaning blade inlet section as shown on the picture on the right.
By closing the impeller, sand and other abrasives are kept away from the narrow clearances between impeller and liner thereby widely eliminating sudden drops in head and capacity losses and with that maintaining the high efficiency design levels. The Robot TurboTex pumps in addition are designed with 2 narrow clearances between impeller and volute. The outer protects the inner, thus extending life time between service intervals. In the Robot TurboTex pumps there is no need for impeller to liner adjustments making these pumps extremely maintenance friendly.
